Horse Donations

At EQUI-KIDS Therapeutic Riding Program, our equines are valued members of our team. In order to participate and work with individuals that often have profound disabilities, EQUI-KIDS is highly selective when accepting equines into the program. Most horses at our center our donated by horse owners in the community. When selecting an equine to join our program, we are looking for one that is ideal and suitable for the work required during equine assisted activities.

We will determine if a horse is suitable by an evaluation of size, confirmation, health, age, gaits, manners of going, ground manners, general attitude, and adaptability.

The breed or color of the horse is not a critical consideration. The physical and mental health, and personality is of more concern to us.

Once we receive the information about your equine, we will contact you by mail or phone call.
